A very midwest football South Florida
One of the “perks” that is sold by Big Bowl Inc. every year as a way to maintain its chokehold on the postseason, is that this is a gift for teams and the fans to go to bowl destinations with “desirable weather.” They would especially want to point that out this week as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Penn State Nittany Lions travel to Miami to play the college football playoff semifinals in the Orange Bowl.
Much was made about the weather for both schools as they hosted first round playoff games, and it was awesome to have real winter weather for the playoffs at both venues — not to mention that the stadium atmospheres were top notch.
But none of that matters now. Now we get normal bowl weather, and for the Orange Bowl this year, it feels like normal early-October football weather for the midwest.
There will be plenty of sun throughout the day while you’re out tailgating, and a high of 65 will make it very comfortable for everyone involved. Accuweather making the note of “a jacket may come in handy for a football game,” is disgraceful.
The low for the game will be around 60 degrees, and if you’re someone that is attending the game and actually do wear a jacket — what kind of fake midwesterner are you?
Gorgeous weather for football.
