Probably pretty big — I’m just guessing
As we quietly move closer and closer to spring, we also get closer and closer to having a better idea of what the 2025 Notre Dame football team will look like. Before I start laying out possible depth charts and the ins and out of the schedule (and all the other fun offseason stuff) I want to gauge the expectations of the Fighting Irish fan base for this upcoming season.
It was very much PLAYOFF OR BUST last year, and you can probably add HOME PLAYOFF GAME OR BUST to that thanks to an unremarkable regular season schedule. Is that the same vibe for this season? Notre Dame’s regular season schedule is significantly tougher than last year’s, but there still isn’t a top five caliber school to line up against.
Maybe the schedule affects your line of thinking a little less than what Notre Dame has on the roster. Maybe Notre Dame’s quarterback situation or defensive line depth are the main reasons you go one way — and then maybe the secondary and running back room has you flipping around another way.
In February… I’m not sure if there are a whole lot of absolutely right or absolutely wrong answers, so please feel free to to unload your thoughts and feelings in the comment section below? Will the Irish make the playoffs? Will they host a game? Can a two loss Notre Dame team make it the 12 team bracket?
Give us a shout (but please don’t shout).
