Ryan Walters reached over into Ohio and pulled out a gem.
Player: Tayvion Galloway
Position: Tight End
Year: Freshman
Height: 6’5
Weight: 235 lbs
2024 Outlook: Depth TE / Potential Redshirt
Although we may not see it this season, Ryan Walters came up big in the TE department for the freshmen class of 2024. Coming out of the Buckeye state is Tayvion Galloway, a four-star recruit that was rated as the 4th best TE in his class by ESPN.
At 6’5, 235 lbs, Galloway is a good mix of size to go up and get a pass while still speedy enough to get open. This season, he will join the TE room that includes Max Klare, George Burhenn, and Drew Biber so it looks like it will be a learning season and potential redshirt opportunity for Galloway. Given the recent success of Purdue tight ends, it’s not a bad idea to sit back and soak it all in, then let it loose in seasons to come. Either way, exciting things are on the way for this freshman.
