A number of new players make the availability report for Purdue’s final game of the season
The Purdue Boilermakers will be without some key players that are new to the availability report sheet for the Old Oaken Bucket game tonight against the Indiana Hoosiers. Purdue will again be without two of their best interior defensive lineman in Lewis and Harkless while Josh Sales continues to be on the report. Jayden Dixon-Veal, Tarrion Grant, and Smiley Bradford are additions this week, so make any assumption you want with that information.
It will be a disappointing end to the season for CJ Smith as the promising receiver who transferred from Georgia never really made an impact. Due to continually injuries, Smith only played in three games where he caught 6 passes for 69 yards and no touchdowns.
Questionable for the game are three important pieces in Antonio Stevens, Owen Davis, and Reggie Love. If Love can’t go tonight, look for Mockobee to get most of the snaps at the running back position. Stevens has been in and out of the lineup this season so Joseph Jefferson may take a bulk of the snaps at that position tonight.
Purdue enters the game a 29.5 point underdog, the largest in the history of the rivalry for the Boilermakers.
