An aberration or should we be worried?
There’s a great line in Major League II where the team has been losing left and right but finally wins a game. The manager, Lou Brown, implores the team that if they win a couple more games in a row that’s called a winning streak, it has happened before, he’s trying to get the team fired up to turn a tough season around.
Right now, Purdue has lost two in a row in Big Ten play so by the definition of Lou Brown it’s not quite a losing streak but with one more loss the team will be there. That’s something we want to avoid. Especially with the Big Ten race heating up and Purdue slowly falling down the standings.
Ryan and I look back at the loss to Wisconsin and wonder what exactly happened to the Purdue defense? Was this a two game blip or is Purdue in trouble? Then, we look ahead to the game against Michigan State. If Purdue loses that one are the chances of a three-Pete over?
