Plus victory over USC and on to Michigan.
There’s no other way to say it. Trey Kaufman-Renn got absolutely snubbed. I understand there might be some confusion about what position he plays, and therefore which watchlist to put him on, but to leave him off both watchlists for power forward and center is just an absolute injustice. Ryan and I get into that in today’s episode of the Boiler Alert podcast. Just, imagine not putting a guy who is competing for player of the year awards on your list for best center and/or power forward. Shameful.
Also on this episode Ryan and I look back on the victory against USC in which Purdue dominated throughout. In a way, maybe it’s good that TKR and Braden Smith have chips on their shoulders now. They seem to play best when they feel disrespected.
After talking about USC we look ahead to the rematch at Michigan. Purdue needs to take Michigan down a peg, and Michigan needs to keep pace with the Boilermakers. Something has to give in this rematch.
