The Junior Point Guard is officially an All-American.
The Number 3 will hang in the rafters of Mackey Arena forever.
Braden Smith was named a 1st Team All-American by Sporting News this morning, something that many believed was a far fetched idea before the season.

The offense has excelled with the ball in his hands, as Smith makes everyone around him better. He is averaging 16.3 points per game, 8.8 assists per game and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Purdue goes as he goes, in games in which he does not play great, the Boilermakers can be a tough watch. Those games are few and far between, as Braden is officially the best point guard in the country.
This marks the 4th straight season in which Purdue has had an All-American.
2022 – Jaden Ivey
2023 – Zach Edey
2024 – Zach Edey
2025 – Braden Smith
He joins elite company in the rafters, with many of the Purdue All-Americans coming during the Matt Painter Era.
Congratulations, Braden Smith, the official Point God of College Basketball.
