Football Unveils New Helmets Ahead of Northwestern Game

It will be the second straight game with a new helmet for the Boilermakers

The Purdue Boilermakers will feature a new look this Saturday as they take on the Northwestern Wildcats at home inside Ross Ade Stadium. The new helmet, an all white option that features a gold action ‘P’ with black and gold midline stripes, offers a different look to the traditional gold and often used black helmets. The school logo is a reflective, metallic gold that is outlined in grey and black which allows it to stand out from the flat white color of the entire helmet.

Traditionally, home teams in football wear their darker color (in Purdue’s case black or gold) but could we see a new uniform combination featured alongside this new helmet? Maybe a gold jersey? Unfortunately, the new college football game did not accidently release this look ahead of time to give us any insights.
