Let’s take a peak at how some of the players in the class of 2025 and 2026 have started off their high school seasons this fall.
The high school football season got underway over the last couple of weeks and the future Purdue Boilermakers have been making an impact on their teams so far this season. Let’s take a quick glance at what some of these future Boilermakers are doing on the field so far this season!
Dawayne Galloway | CB | 2025 | Marian-Franklin High School | Columbus, OH
Galloway’s team has started the season 0-2 but the senior captain maintains his 4 star ranking based on his impressive showing from this past summer. The top 150 overall prospect and #9 CB in the country is playing both wide receiver and defensive back this season and scored a rushing touchdown in their first game of the season against Granville High School.
Cameron Gorin | OL | 2025 | Hamilton Southeastern High School | Fishers, IN
The Royals have been dominant in their first two games, winning by a combined score of 94-47 against two perennial strong programs in Carrol (Ft. Wayne) and North Central. Gorin’s offensive line has helped the Royals average 291 yards per game through two games this season with 9 touchdowns coming on the ground.
Grant Beerman | LB | 2025 | Lakota West High School | West Chester, OH
Through the first two games, Beerman has totaled 24 tackles and has led his Lakota West squad to a 2-0 start.
Lebron Hill | WR | 2025 | Hammond Morton Senior High School | Hammond, IN
No stats are readily available for the senior wide receiver. His Hammond Morton squad has started 0-2. NWI.com did a feature on Hill prior to the start of the season
Brian Kortovich | TE | 2025 | Villa Angela-St. Joseph | Cleveland, OH
No stats are available but an article featured Kortovich’s leadership: Purdue commit Brian Kortovich playing role of mentor for younger Villa Angela-St. Joseph teammate.
Sawyer Anderson | QB | 2025 | Parish Episcopal School | Dallas, TX
Through one game so far this season, Anderson is 14-26 for 284 yards and 3TD’s in addition to 9 carries for 34 yards. His team plays again on 9/6 against 2-0 Episcopal.
Oscar Rios | QB | 2026 | Downey High School | Downey, CA
Rios has led his team to a 2-0 record by going 31-58 (53.4%) for 593 yards. 5 TD’s, and 2 INT’s. He has also added 134 rushing yards on 19 carries with 2 TD’s.
