It just gets worse.
We don’t need a lot of discourse here, after all, the Purdue Head Coach said it best.
Ryan Walters: “The most disappointing thing is, if I’m being completely honest, that we’re a bad football team right now.”

Offense: F
To no surprise, the Purdue Offense after making a change at the coordinator position looked abysmal, as it turns out, maybe Purdue just does not have the talent to compete.
The Boilers looked okay early, stacking some early first downs, but it fell apart quick not being able to sustain any success as the game moved on.
The most impressive part of this blowout was that Purdue actually won the turnover battle. Card for the first time all season other than Indiana State did not throw it to the other team and Purdue didn’t fumble on offense.
But, they did punt the ball 8 times, as the drives, even after two interceptions at about mid-field by the defense, did quite literally nothing.
Purdue is at a loss here and I am not totally sure what they do moving forward. Check this out.

Defense: F-
Purdue hired this guy based on his defensive resume, right?
To be honest, what the HELL is going on at Purdue.
The starting running back from Wisconsin decided to step away from the team in the middle of the week. Their starting quarterback was out and Wisconsin was missing one of their best wide receivers.
The result? 52 points to backups.
The Purdue Defense made Tawee Walker look like Doak Walker. He scored three times on 19 carries and was just under 100 yards rushing. To no surprise, the last-place defense in the Big Ten allowed 200+ yards rushing again, with little to no fight up front.
Sure, they turned over the back-up quarterback two times, but the defense also allowed him to throw for 359 yards and three touchdowns as well.
Anyway, Bret Bielma is going to run all over this defense next week, and put it to Purdue after Coach Walters did a little bit of talking after the 2023 win vs his old boss.
Special Teams: C (I Guess?)
Porath was 2 for 2 on field goals and looks like a legit kicker for the next few years, Keelan Crimmins keeps booting the football to the moon on Punts, he is now averaging 45 yards per punt, and probably has the most punts in the country.
Why is it a C?
Well, a muffed punt by Dillon Thieneman gave a scare early but he recovered it, but the 2nd muffed punt was a disaster, as Wisconsin recovered it and allowed them to score with ease.
Matt Painter save us with Basketball Season, please.
