The app is officially out of Beta.
I know we’ve talked about Autograph before, and we partnered with them during last year’s basketball season, but the app is now officially out of Beta and into the real world for all to see and download. For those that are unfamiliar, Autograph is an app that takes all of your favorite sports creators and puts all of their writing and podcasts into one app. You can find everything from Hammer and Rails on there each and every day.
One of the cool things about the Autograph app is that it allows you to earn points for different giveaways. Right now they’ve got a contest going to win a Tom Brady autographed football. As a Bucs fan I had to use a photo of Tom Brady in his Bucs uniform for this article. Brady is a founding partner with the app so you shouldn’t be surprised to see his stuff pop up from time to time. During basketball season last year Autograph released true fan pricing (read as not outrageously expensive) tickets for the NCAA Tournament as well as for a handful of Purdue games. We actually had a Hammer and Rails reader win tickets to, if I’m remembering correctly, the first round of the NCAA Tournament last season. That’s a really cool opportunity and I’m glad we helped a fan get that opportunity.
As part of their expansion from the Beta stage to the full blown out into the world stage Autograph is expanding to include additional teams and sports to include additional professional teams. Regardless of why you download Autograph I know I’ve been happy with my decision to utilize it. I’m able to hop between the latest Hammer and Rails article to the latest from our good friend Casey Bartley at Boiler Upload and then to Brian Neubert from Gold and Black. Anything that makes being a fan easier I’m all for. So check out the link and use code boilerup to let them know we sent you.
