Now that we know the outcome of the IU game this will be interesting.
The weekly survey results are here. Yes, these are normally out on Friday, but I was away from a computer for a few days as I attended a dear friend’s wedding. It was a wonderful event but now we are back at it. Plus, even though these are coming out later than normal I think it works this week due to the predictions for the IU game coming out after the game so we know the outcome.

Again, I know this is not a real scientific survey given the type of sample we take, but wow fans were confident going into this one. 98% of Purdue fans predicted a Purdue win. Pretty incredible really. However, a full 50% predicted a Purdue blowout which we obviously know now did not happen. It was only thanks to a great shot from TKR that Purdue was able to pull ahead at the end of the game. A stressful game for sure but we will take the outcome.
Now, who do the readers think is the current favorite to win the Big Ten?

This is an update to a question that I asked the week of January 17th. To refresh your memory, those results had Purdue as the favorite with 53%, Michigan Sate with 27%, Illinois 10%, Michigan 8%, Oregon 2%. We are a couple weeks deeper into the conference season and Michigan State has emerged as the new frontrunner. Keep in mind this was before the game Michigan State just lost to USC. So, at the time of the question MSU was undefeated in conference play. However, they received an incredible 79% of the votes with Purdue at 19% far down from their earlier 53%. This is a question that will likely change wildly over the next couple weeks. I’ll likely ask it again next week.
