Hammer and Rails Reader Survey Results – Ryan Walters’ Fate

Plus, will Purdue pull off the upset?

The reader survey results are in and as you might expect, the results are bleak. The first question we asked this week was about the fate of Purdue football head coach Ryan Walters.

60% of Purdue fans think that Ryan Walters should be fired right away. This was actually lower than I expected though maybe I’m letting the loud voices of the few cloud my judgment of the fanbase as a whole. This is one good thing about doing these surveys. It gives you a more realistic idea of where the fans sit. Of course, the other 40% could still want Walters fired but just at a later date.

Next, I asked the usual question, about who will win this week’s game against. This week is of course against Illinois. How many think Purdue can pull the upset?

We are all the way down to 5% of fans thinking that Purdue can pull off the win. This number continues to go down week after week. Most of these answers came before the Hudson Card news was announced. Not sure if that would have changed many minds though given the small number who thought Purdue would win anyway.
