It’s here folks. It’s game day for part one of two of this, the very best rivalry in all of college basketball. Some people will say it’s Duke vs. North Carolina but those people would be wrong. There’s nothing like watching those Hoosiers take the floor in Mackey to a chorus of boos the likes of which you’ve never heard. This game will see Purdue in a much better position than IU this season. Purdue needs this victory to keep pace with conference leader Michigan State while IU needs this one to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Right now at 14-7 with no signature wins it’s not looking good for the Hoosiers. Hell, they might need this win to keep their Big Ten Tournament hopes alive.
