Can Purdue bring home another early season tournament trophy?
Purdue pulled away from NC State as the second half progressed yesterday to earn their spot in tonight’s championship game in the Rady Children’s Invitational. On the other side of the bracket, BYU and Ole Miss played an incredibly competitive game. Early hot shooting from Cathings from BYU made it look like they were the team to beat but Ole Miss chipped away and found a lead in the second half. The game came down to the final possession with neither team being able to put one more point on the board and the game headed to an extra five minutes. OT baby! Ole Miss played a much better overtime than the boys from BYU and came away with a victory.
Now, the two teams will meet tonight at 6:00 PM to determine your champion.
Who: #13 Purdue (6-1) vs. #23 Ole Miss (6-0)
When: 6 p.m. ET
Where: San Diego, California – LionTree Arena (Capacity 4,000)
TV: FOX (Cory Provus, Robbie Hummel)

Purdue still with just one loss on the season and while this isn’t quite as prestigious as something like Maui, which Purdue won last year, a win here would certainly send a message that Purdue cannot be ignored yet again. This will also go down as a quad 1 win. It’s never too early to start thinking about your NCAA Tournament resume.
