The Pacific Northwest continues to be Purdue’s home.
Game two of Purdue’s West coast swing will see the Boilermakers face #13 Oregon. Another newbie in the conference. After going undefeated in the non-conference season, Oregon has had two losses in Big Ten play as they’ve lost to UCLA by just a bucket before getting absolutely walloped by Illinois at home 109-77. That’s not a score you’re going to see often in the Big Ten.
I’ve not yet got that perpetual hatred for Oregon like I do for a lot of teams in the Big Ten but I do desperately want to win this one just because we can’t let a new to the conference team like Oregon walk in here and win the football and basketball titles. That would just be a step too far for me.
Since this one is at Oregon it unfortunately means that we’ve got to look at that horrendous court of theirs though I will admit it’s gotten better over the years. Because a few years back…woof. Let’s hope the upward trend for Purdue continues as they look to extend their win streak to 7 games and 6 straight Big Ten games.
