Can Purdue make it two Big Ten wins in a row?
Purdue versus Northwestern today in Mackey Arena should be a good game. In recent years Northwestern has been a thorn in Purdue’s side. They’ve taken them down a number of times in unexpected ways. Purdue is coming off a 20 point victory over Minnesota while Northwestern most recently fell to Penn State. Northwestern is no longer that historical doormat they used to be and Chris Collins has this team continuously improving. Brooks Barnhizer and Nick Martinelli are two guys Purdue will especially have to be aware of. They are each averaging 20 points per game. Jalen Leach is the only other Wildcat that averages in double figures. That seems reminiscent of Purdue’s own scoring this season with a big three. Whose will make the difference today?
