Back in Mackey!
Purdue comes into Mackey Arena limping after losing three of their last four. It’s been a tough road against quality opponents of late. Tonight, Purdue goes up against the Rockets of Toledo out of the MAC. It’s Purdue’s last non-conference opponent before the return of Big Ten season at the start of the year. This needs to be a game where the Boilermakers get right. They’ve struggled against some very good teams and very good defenses. Toledo is no slouch, but they also aren’t Texas A&M or Auburn. I certainly won’t call them Nobody U.
Purdue will be without the services of Will Berg in this one. This will mark the first game since the 2011-2012 season in which Purdue will not have a 7 footer active for the game. That’s absolutely bizarre.
#Purdue center Will Berg sprained his foot in practice a few days ago and will miss the Toledo game and is day to day from there, Matt Painter said after practice Sunday.

Still, this is a game that Purdue needs to win and get things back in order before they focus on their more known opponents in conference season.
