Purdue travels to Ann Arbor.
For the second time this season the Boilermakers and the Wolverines will face off. These two teams met earlier in the Big Ten season and saw Purdue absolutely dominate the Wolverines 91-64 and somehow it wasn’t even that close. Michigan is reconfigured this season under first year head coach Dusty May, who IU fans are hoping bolts for the Hoosiers in the offseason, and a host of new players. They play two bigs which has given a number of teams problems but which Purdue seemed to just be able to switch off of no problem. It helps that Trey Kaufman-Renn and Caleb Furst are playing great and complimentary together. Will a 27 point margin of victory happen again tonight? That seems unlikely, but man would it be fun!
Who: #7 Purdue (19-5, 11-2) vs. #20 Michigan (18-5, 10-2)
When: 7 p.m. ET
Where: Ann Arbor, Mich – Crisler Center – Capacity – 12,707
Streaming: Peacock (Noah Eagle, Robbie Hummel, Caroline Pineda)
Radio: Purdue Global Radio Network (Rob Blackman, Bobby Riddell)
Somehow, as of this writing you can get tickets for this one for less than $20 so if you’ve got the afternoon off, or hell if you’ve just got some vacation days to use, might I suggest going up north to Ann Arbor and taking over the Crisler Center like Purdue did last season?
This is an incredibly important game in the Big Ten race as these two are tied in the loss column. Each team controls their own destiny as if they run the table they win the Big Ten. If Purdue takes down Michigan that will give them three losses with two games against Michigan State still remaining, among other tough games.
Yes, this game is exclusively on Peacock, and while this is not a sponsored post, there is a current Peacock code for $30 for an entire year to be used for both new and returning customers. Use code WINTERSAVINGS to receive one year for that price. I know some of you are anti-Peacock and that’s your right but I just wanted to pass along the deal.
Join us in the open thread tonight as the Boilermakers look to put some space between themselves and the second place Wolverines.
