Purdue looks to win their first Big Ten game.
The first game of the Big Ten season obviously didn’t go how anyone wanted, but guess what? In most recent seasons for Purdue basketball they’ve lost that first Big Ten game and it hasn’t stopped them from winning the whole conference. So, can they do that again this season? Winning game two would certainly be a nice step in that direction. Purdue will get that chance this afternoon when they take on the Maryland Terrapins. Don’t call them the Turtles, they don’t like that.

The Purdue starters struggled against a tenacious Penn State defense in game one. The bench came in and played a much better game. Will that result in Matt Painter making changes to his starting five? Only time will tell. Plus, with the news of a football hire being made, will Barry Odom come out at halftime and surprise the crowd? We will know shortly. Join us in the open thread to talk about all of it.
