The non-conference schedule continues to build.
According to a report from Jon Rothstein, who we all know sleeps in May, Purdue has added another non-conference opponent to the 2025-2026 schedule. I’ll just let Rothstein tell you himself.

The Kent State Flashes will head to Mackey Arena on December 29th and will be fed to the new look Boilermakers and the Mackey Arena faithful.
Kent State is coming off a 24-12 season in which they finished 3rd place in the MAC. They lost to common Purdue opponents Alabama and Auburn. They did however take down common opponent Toledo twice, home and away. The two obviously share a conference. Their nemesis on the season was Miami (Ohio) who took them down on three occasions including in their final game of the regular season in the MAC Tournament. That was enough to prevent them from making the NCAA Tournament. They then made the field for the NIT and won two games before failing to Loyola Chicago 72-62 and ending their season.
Kent State joins Alabama as the known matchups for next season.
