Series Record: 77-42-6 (Yes we suck this year but still own them)
Last Purdue Win: November 25th, 2023, 35 to 31
Last Indiana Win: November 20th, 2019. 44-41
Indiana Head Coach: Curt “Google Me” Cignetti
Betting Line: IU -28.5, O/U 56.5
Offensive Player to Watch:
The offense goes as Kurtis Rourke goes. He has been mentioned over the course of the season as one of the Heisman Finalists, I am unsure if he is still in that discussion or not, but the transfer quarterback has been dynamite for the Hoosiers in their resurgence under Cig.
The ground game is lead by Wake Forest Transfer, Justice Ellison, whose one year at IU has been a successful one, as he leads the team in rushing. He and backfield mate Ty Son Lawton have created a dynamic 1-2 punch for IU.
Sophomore Wide Receive, Elijah Sarrett, has been Rourke’s favorite target. The James Madison transplant leads the team in receiving yards and in receiving touchdowns.
Defensive Player to Watch:
Aiden Fisher is the Hoosiers’ best defensive player, thought there are a handful of talented players. Fisher leads the team with 102 tackles, he had 108 tackles last season for James Madison.
Mikail Kamara, another James Madison transfer, has 9.5 sacks and surely will hit double digits this weekend when he squares off against the average Purdue Offensive Line.
Amare Ferrell leads the team in interceptions, corralling four interceptions. He is one of the few Indiana starters this year that starts and was inherited by Curt Cignetti. Most of the starters are transfers.
Way Too Early Prediction:
Indiana 49 Purdue 10
