Offensive Player to Watch:
Wide Receiver, Tyler Allen is the number one target for quarterback Drew Allar. On the season, Allen has 59 catches for 681 yards and four touchdowns. While the passing attack is solid for the Nittany Lions, they hang their hat on running the ball effectively.
Kaytron Allen has 133 carries for 634 yards and five touchdowns while backfield mate Nicholas Singleton has 88 carries for 543 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 200+ yards receiving.
Allar was a predicted first-round pick before the season but has some up-and-down play leading to his stock sliding some, but he will be an NFL Quarterback someday. He has been banged up in recent weeks but is expected to start this weekend.
Defensive Player to Watch:
Jaylen Reed is the do-it-all all safety for the Nittany Lions. He leads the team in tackles, and interceptions and even has a couple of sacks on the season.
Defensive Coordinator, Tom Allen, uses Reed all over the field, from playing him on the line of scrimmage to being the deep safety in man cover 1 looks.
On the season, he has 57 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 sacks, and 4 tackles for a loss.
