It is always fun to beat those guys.
4th and 4th
Purdue did not play particularly well on Friday night, trailing by four at halftime before kicking into gear to start the 2nd half. Analytics that were released the day after the game showed that Purdue played their 4th worst game of the season. The three that were above it were all losses.
On the other hand, IU played their fourth best game of the season in terms of analytics. It was a frustrating end for the Hoosiers who I thought played pretty well for most of the game. Their big transfer pick-up, Myles Rice was not any good and took the last shot for the Hoosiers.
62
The combined point total of Purdue’s Big Three. Smith led the scoring attack with 24, he battled with two fouls early on in the game. Renn, who got two cheap moving screen offensive fouls played only 26 minutes while scoring 23 points and making Ballo look like a freshman. Loyer struggled early on but hit some huge late free throws, he ended with 15.

Minutes for Gicarri Harris who seems to have become the first man off the bench for Purdue. Painter used him to defend Mgbako after Loyer struggled early on. Not only that, he is finding his groove shooting the three-point ball as well. Look for the freshman to get around 20 minutes a game for the rest of the season, as he can play the 1, 2 or 3 for Painter.
