Late night in Bloomington.
This week is, thankfully, the final Purdue football game of the season. There’s no bowl game for this team. There’s only a 1-11 season or a 2-10 season. Neither are good, but one is obviously better than the other. Purdue’s final game of the year, a road game at IU, has finally had a game time and TV network set as of late last night.

So there it is, Boilermakers vs. Hoosiers under the lights in Bloomington. The game will also be televised by FS1. If you read the Washington Post article that came out this week about the game selection process, you’ll know that this game being at 7:00 PM on FS1 means it was not a top pick for the networks. That makes sense. Sure, IU is having a surprising season by any standard, but Purdue has been an utter disappointment.
With IU suffering their first loss of the season yesterday against Ohio State this game takes on extra meaning for the Hoosiers. They desperately need a victory to stay in the College Football Playoff picture. Purdue has the opportunity to likely knock them out. Interesting stakes for the Old Oaken Bucket game.
