Mackey Arena will be rocking during the 2025-2026 Non-Conference season when Iowa State comes to town for game one of two against Purdue over the next two seasons.
Iowa State, who is currently ranked 10th in the country, is one of the most consistent programs in the country.
After a disastrous 2021 season when they ended the year 2-22, the Cyclones made a change at Head Coach, hiring TJ Otzelberger.
He turned Iowa State into instant winners and a top 25 mainstay. He has accumulated an 88-40 record during his four years there. In two of his four seasons he has reached the Sweet 16. This year, his 4th season he hopes for similar if not better results.
In the only year they did not make the Sweet 16, they still made the NCCAT but were eliminated round 1, losing to 11 seed Pittsburgh.
This is a great matchup for two teams trending in positive directions.
