There is an obvious change happening and it starts with the precedent set with our new Head Coach’s Contract.
Per Nathan Baird for the IndyStar, details of the new contract for Barry Odom have been released.

With an annual salary of $6 Million per year the first two seasons, then eventually climbing to $7 Million, this will put him right in the middle of the Big Ten in terms of pay, whereas his predecessor, Ryan Walters, was 16th of 18 Big Ten Teams this past season.
President Mung Chiang made a statement early this morning as well, committing Purdue investing more than they ever have in Athletics.
Bobinski continued on with the idea of commitment to Purdue Athletics, when he spoke about NIL at the Press Conference, stating they will use all of the $20.5 Salary (Cap), with most of it being used to develop the football roster.
Purdue is taking a step forward with their Football Program, and while Coach Odom has an uphill climb with a total rebuild, he will have the resources needed to do so, and he plans to do this fast.
