There just wasn’t enough time.

Well, it certainly looked like another laugher of a game for the Boilers as they got down 24-3 with MSU getting the ball to start the second half. However, the Boilers were able to rip off two consecutive touchdowns while holding Michigan State to zero points in the second half. Props to them for continuing to battle.
That being said, getting down 24-3 and scraping back to lose by 7 isn’t anything to be proud of. Moral victories in losses come against the elite when you are a program like Purdue, not ones that should be your equal or below you. This should change nothing in the eyes of Mike Bobinski with one more game in this season against the Hoosiers. The Ryan Walters era at Purdue should end after next week.

Well, I guess we see what this team COULD be. The second half was a full 180 from what we saw in the first half. Purdue allowed 0 points in the second half while scoring 14 points of their own. In the first half, MSU had four drives and scored four times. It was frustrating to watch.
Purdue simply made too many mistakes and took too long to score when they had the ball in the second half. If there was a fifth quarter maybe Purdue would’ve won but that’s not how the game is played. There is hopefully just one game left in the Walters’ era.
