This one was exactly what we thought it would be.
Ledman:
This was never going to be a victory for the Boilermakers. They were outmatched at every position on the field. Purdue tried to do their best to keep the ball on the ground, keep the ball away from the OSU offense, and shorten the game. It made sense but if you’re going to do that you’ve got to be able to score points. Purdue couldn’t do that. If they weren’t turning it over they were missing field goals. Just a terrible set of results for the offense.
There was a period where Ohio State scored three touchdowns in a 4:02 span. That included a fumble six that they punched right out of Reggie Love III’s hands. The game was over before that, but that was the final nail. All that was left was to determine the final score.
Ryan:
Can someone tell me a phase of football that this team does well? Offense: bad. Defense: laughably bad. Special teams: putrid. Everything from coaches down needs an overhaul right now but what recruits are going to want to join this dumpster fire?
Drew:
I will once again point out a couple positives to avoid redundancy.
Mockobee ran exceptionally hard. He’s never afraid to cut it up into the teeth of the defense.
Dillon was flying around the field making crucial tackles and delivering a couple big hits.
Hudson Card took an absolute beating. The hit he took on sideline was vicious, and he bounced right back up.
Other than that, a classic case of a good team against a bad team.
