Even after a dreadful season, we can appreciate the players hard-work!
No need to talk about the season, or the current coaching search in this one. This post is to recognize the hard work of the players that fought on the gridiron this season.
Max Klare was Purdue’s best offensive weapon this season, there is no denying that. The redshirt Sophomore led the team in receiving. He ended the season with 51 catches for 685 yards and four touchdowns.
Klare was named to the All-Big Third Team, the Big Ten is loaded at Tight End this season, including Penn State’s Tyler Warren who was the best tight end in the country.
Aside from Klare, Kydran Jenkins was named to All-B1G Second Team as a linebacker. Jenkins was Purdue’s best defensive player in a season where the defense really struggled. the 5th year senior had 83 tackles and 7 sacks, if the team had won a few more games, there could have been an argument for Jenkins to be on the first team.
