Time to take a stab at what the depth chart may look like on August 31st.
With Purdue Football just fifteen days away from the first game of the season, it is time to take a quick stab at what the two deep MAY look like before the season opener against Indiana State, or FCS East on NCAA 25 for my fellow NCAA College Football Fans.
Let me start with this… this is a guess, I have no inside access, or any of that jazz for what my best guesses are, I may be wrong, but just from what I have heard, read, or analyzed through portal additions, a two-deep is not that hard to guess!

Positions to Watch:
Wide Receiver should be an interesting position to follow this season, there is plenty of talent in the group, but most of it is unproven or coming off of some injury. Rumor is that CJ Smith is a burner, but has a couple of nagging injuries currently.
Maybe a surprise? Davila to backup Card is my best guess, Browne is right there and perhaps he will have his own package to run the ball in short-yardage situations. Purdue lists Davila at 244 pounds! That is a big man behind the center.
I think I am most comfortable with the running back position for the first time in years. Getting Reggie Love III as Mockobee’s backup was a huge transfer portal get, he is a proven veteran running back in the Big Ten.
A lot of bodies were added to the offensive line and they are already fighting injuries per the Elon Muskospehere of X, hopefully, some nagging injuries will go away and the Boilers will have a solid 10 offensive linemen that can be used when needed.
The tight end group may have the highest upside led by Sophomore Max Klare and George Burhenn, both had solid freshman seasons in 2023 but were cut short due to injuries.
