The Boilermakers rise after their tournament finish.
The Purdue men’s basketball squad had what most of us deemed a successful season this year after finishing in the Sweet 16 with a last second lost to the National Runner-Up Houston Cougars. It was a season where Purdue was largely expected to take a step back after the loss of two time National Player of the Year Zach Edey. However, were it not for some very bad officiating decisions at the end of the game I think Purdue heads to the Final Four for a second straight season. Unfortunately, it was not to be. Now, with the nets cut down the AP has released their final poll of the season.
Final Polls.

As you can see, Purdue finishes in 14th. This is an 8 position jump from the previous AP poll which came out right before the start of the NCAA Tournament. AP voters must have been impressed with Purdue’s finish to have them jump up 8 spots. As noted in that graphic, Purdue was 12th in the final coach’s poll.
Here’s where other Purdue opponents landed in the final AP poll.
