Zach Edey wasn’t able to go trick-or-treating with his friends as a kid.
Edey, who is over seven feet tall, was insanely tall in fourth grade and it led to people getting mad at him because he was too big. He also revealed that he was nearly seven feet tall in eighth grade.
“I was 6’10 in 8th grade. I remember I got banned from trick-or-treating when I was in 4th grade. People would get mad at me because I was too big,” Edey said.
He was born to be tall and there’s nothing wrong with that.
His height has helped him become one of the best college basketball players in the country. It’s extremely hard to guard him and it’s one of the reasons why Purdue is two wins away from a national title.
He was tremendous against Tennessee in the Elite Eight, finishing with 40 points and 16 rebounds. He scored over half of Purdue’s points in Purdue’s 72-66 win.
Purdue will now take on NC State in the Final Four on Saturday. The winner will advance to the National Championship Game on Monday to face either UConn or Alabama.
