Purdue junior Zach Edey has been named Naismith Player of the Year.
The 7-foot-4 Canadian terrorized teams all year with his height, averaging 22.3 points on 60.7% shooting, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game.
“It’s been everything I could have expected coming back to school this year,” Edey said after winning the award. “It’s been everything I could have expected and more.”
Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang was named Coach of the Year for taking his 3-seeded Wildcats to the Elite 8.
UCLA’s star Junior Jaylen Clark, who recently declared for the NBA Draft, was named Defensive Player of the Year as well.
