Now in his fourth year at Purdue, Zach Edey has gotten a taste of every Big Ten road venue on multiple occasions. So which ones did the reigning national college player of the year think was the best?

In a recent feature for the Big Ten, Edey spoke on what his favorite arenas to visit have been. While he had high praise for both Nebraska and Minnesota, he feels that Michigan State’s Breslin Center was No. 1.

“I actually like Nebraska’s arena a lot. They have very good fans,” Edey said. “I like how Minnesota’s is very unique — The Barn. I’ve heard a lot of stories. … I like Michigan State’s,” Edey said.

Edey actually had Michigan State as his top pick in nearly all categories for the segment. He said that they had the best away uniforms and the best head coach outside of Purdue.

Though as for his favorite overall road trips to make for games, he had in-state rival Michigan at No. 2 with Illinois coming in at No. 1 because the team gets “great rolls” from the iconic Beef House.

“Northwestern’s a pretty quick trip, so I’ll put that at No. 3,” Edey said. “Michigan’s pretty close, No. 2. And then No. 1 is Illinois, because we get the Beef House on the way. They’ve got great rolls.”

The upcoming Big Ten Tournament in Minnesota will be the final time that Edey visits one of his Big Ten rivals before the end of his storied career.
