The rising junior will seek greener pastures.
And then there were three. The third player from this year’s Purdue squad has entered the transfer portal.
Can confirm Purdue guard Myles Colvin has entered his name in the transfer portal.
Heritage Christian grad and Boilermaker legacy was a part-time starter this past season. More coming.— Nathan Baird (@nwbaird) March 31, 2025
This one is a bit different than Berg and Waddell who entered the portal prior to Colvin. Berg and Waddell were struggling to see the floor with Waddell especially seeing hardly any minutes during his tenure at Purdue. Colvin however had seen uneven minutes over his first two seasons but came on late during the past two NCAA Tournament runs.
Colvin was a very important bench guy for this team but clearly believes he can be more and he’s shown to have that ability. It’s always hard to keep a 13 man roster happy especially when you have guys like Braden Smith, Fletcher Loyer, and Trey Kaufman-Renn who will be given all the minutes they can handle. It really gives few openings for the remaining roster.
Colvin of course is a Purdue legacy with his father being a football star and his sister a volleyball star. That’s what makes this loss all the harder. Rosevelt actually commented on his son’s departure on Twitter.
From a “fathers” perspective you have no idea what the HAIL you’re talking about!! The kid did a great job for what he was told to do and NOT to do. System isn’t one for him to flourish and that’s ok. I think the team will be ok w/out Myles and we praying he will be better.

Like all Boilermakers who enter the transfer portal we are hoping for his success and hoping the team continues to succeed in their absence. Thanks for everything Myles.
