Plus a look at the Michigan State Spartans.
Casey and I are back to talk about the recent two game skid of the men’s basketball team. Are there similarities between the losses that will carry forward or was Wisconsin just a uniquely bad matchup for the Boilermakers? I ask Casey these questions and as usual he provides with me insightful, if not a bit unhinged, answers.
We discuss the Flagrant 2 foul that might have turned the tide of the game. Casey asks me if Trey Kaufman-Renn deserves to be an All-American after his recent play. Plus, we discuss what this Purdue team needs out of stars like Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer in order to make a lot of noise in March.
Then, we look around at the Big Ten race and wonder if Purdue’s hope of a Three-Pete is all but dead in the water as they sit two games back in the loss column as of this recording. Purdue will need lots of help to get there but they also have to take care of business. That starts tomorrow against Michigan State. Purdue has to find a way to win on the road and Casey and I discuss where Purdue has advantages against a solid, but not great, Michigan State team. And, we make predictions.
