This is a different Purdue team, and that’s fine.
Casey and I are back together after Purdue came away with a victory over the Bulldogs from Yale. Casey and I break this episode into two segments. First, we look at the game against Yale and though not intentionally, we basically go through every player who played in the game and talk about what we thought was good. There was truly a lot to like in this one.
The biggest thing Purdue fans can’t do right now is expect this team to be last year’s team. There is no Zach Edey on this team. That doesn’t mean that this team can’t succeed. We talk about the need for improvement in rebounding as well as some defensive adjustments.
Casey gives a glowing review of the improvement that Myles Colvin has undergone since last year and why Casey believes that Colvin is becoming increasingly hard to keep off the court.
Finally, we take a break and go to a big picture situation following the loss of Daniel Jacobsen. The center position has been a focal point for the Purdue Boilermakers for over a decade now. Where does this team go at the 5 from here on out? Casey, as always, has all the answers. Or at least some thoughts.
