The NFL Supplemental Draft is coming up and while it isn’t exactly dripping with star power, there are two players who could find themselves with an NFL team next week.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, two wide receivers have been granted eligibility for next week’s 2023 NFL Supplemental Draft. The players are Milton Wright from Purdue and Malachi Wideman from Jackson State.
Wright had 57 receptions for 732 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior in 2021 but did not play in 2022.
Wideman had 34 receptions for 540 yards and 11 touchdown for Deion Sanders’ Tigers in 2021 and three receptions for 49 yards and a touchdown in 2022.
Two players were granted eligibility for next week’s NFL Supplemental Draft: Jackson State WR Malachi Wideman and Purdue WR Milton Wright.
Those are the only two players who can be selected in the supplemental draft — the first since 2019 — which will take place Tuesday.

The Supplemental Draft functions differently from the April NFL Draft in that teams essentially bid on the players using picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.
But players that are eligible for the Supplemental Draft are seldom drafted. Only four players have been taken in the Supplemental Draft in the past decade with the most recent being Jalen Thompson in 2019.
Of the 46 players drafted in the Supplemental Draft, only eight have gone on to make at least one Pro Bowl with Cris Carter being the only one enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Will either Milton Wright or Malachi Wideman be drafted next week?
