The Boilers are joined by Western Michigan, Loyola Chicago, & BYU
The Purdue Boilermakers were selected as the 4th seed in the Louisville quarter and will face Western Michigan in the first round. They are joined by Loyola Chicago and 5th seed BYU. The Boilers were also selected to host the first and second round of the () region. This marks the 19th time under Head Coach Dave Shondell that the Boilers have made the NCAA Tourney in his 22nd year.

The Boilers finished their season with as good of a final weekend as anyone in the country with road victories against AVCA rankings #13 Oregon and Washington (receiving votes). They ended with a record of 16-4 overall and placed 4th in the standings this season behind Nebraska (19-1), Penn State (19-1), and Wisconsin (17-3), tied for the best record in conference play for the Boilers. They also finished with an overall record of 25-6, tied with the 2011 team for most wins in the regular season under Shondell.

The Boilers are led by dynamic outside hitters Eva Hudson and Chloe Chicoine along with dominant middle Raven Colvin. The Boilers are looking to make their first Final Four appearance in program history while having been to the Elite Eight on three difference occasions under Shondell. The Boilers will have to get through Louisville, the #1 seed in their portion of the bracket to do so.
