After missing the last two games with a shoulder injury, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was back in practice this week. But is he healthy enough to play against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday?
The answer, for now at least, appears to be “maybe.”
On Friday, the Browns officially listed Watson as “questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Colts. The Browns won their Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers with quarterback P.J. Walker under center.
However, Walker was really more of a game manager than a game changer in that stunning upset win. He had two interceptions, no touchdowns and completed just 53-percent of his passes in the win.
The Cleveland Browns are 3-2 on the season but just one game behind the rival Baltimore Ravens for the lead in the AFC North. If they can beat the Colts and see the Ravens and Steelers both lose, they’ll be on top by the end of the weekend.
Watson was playing solid but hardly elite football prior to his injury. He’s completing 63.7-percent of his passes and has four touchdowns with two interceptions.
Will Watson start for the Browns this weekend, or will we see P.J. Walker take the field again?
