Indianapolis Colts’ assistant general manager Ed Dodds will remain with the team for the 2025 season.
Dodds was one of a handful of candidates who had been brought back for a second round of interviews with the Tennessee Titans for their general manager opening.
However, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network announced on Friday afternoon that Tennessee will be hiring current Kansas City Chiefs’ assistant general manager Mike Borgonzi to fill their general manager role.
Dodds has been the Colts’ assistant general manager since the 2018 season. He was previously the Colts’ VP of player personnel in 2017 and held a variety of scouting related roles with the Seattle Seahawks from 2007-2016.
This isn’t the first time another team has looked in Dodds for their GM role. In 2023, Dodds was a finalist for the Carolina job and also interviewed with the LA Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently selected Dodds as on of his potential future general manager candidates, noting that Dodds’ scouting ability is held in high regard around the NFL.
