The red-hot Colts won’t have defensive lineman Al-Quadin Muhammad at their disposal for the rest of the season.
Muhammad was suspended by the NFL on Tuesday for violating the league’s policy regarding performance-enhancing substances. His suspension will last six games.
This is obviously not ideal for Muhammad, who has been on the Colts’ practice squad this season.
On the flip side, Indianapolis shouldn’t have to worry about this suspension affecting its defense. That unit will still be led by DeForest Buckner, Taven Bryan, Samson Ebukam and Kwity Paye.

In 84 career games, Muhammad has racked up 157 tackles, 33 quarterback hits, 12 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Muhammad is on an expiring contract with the Colts. The next team that signs him won’t have him available for Week 1 of the 2024 season due to his suspension.
The Colts will be back in action this Sunday afternoon against the Bengals.
