The Colts continue to churn out the bottom of their practice squad—this time, with a new face at edge.
The Indianapolis Colts announced on Monday the following roster moves to its practice squad: the signing of cornerback Tre Flowers and defensive end Durell Nchami, while waiving both offensive tackle Sebastian Guttierez and defensive end Derek Rivers:
We have signed CB Tre Flowers and DE Durell Nchami to the practice squad and released T Sebastian Gutierrez and DE Derek Rivers from the practice squad.

At 6’4,” 259 pounds, Nchami is a former undrafted edge out of Maryland who was formerly a member of the Denver Broncos practice squad in 2023.
It’s interesting because Flowers was waived last week to make room for veteran offensive guard Mark Glowinski—only to be re-signed early this week, while Rivers was signed to replace claimed edge Titus Leo (and of course, has now been waived). Although to be fair, Rivers has bounced on and off the Colts practice squad at least a few times already.
Regarding the Colts injury status, both wideout Josh Downs (shoulder) and rookie center Tanor Bortolini (concussion) appear realistically unlikely to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots, so it’s possible that Indianapolis could make some extra roster moves there to help replenish some of their lost positional depth respectively.
Offensive guard Atonio Mafi, who was elevated last weekend, as well as veteran Mark Glowinski could be candidates to be promoted to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday to help fill Bortolini’s cleats. Meanwhile, a wideout like D.J. Montgomery could help to replace Down at the slot or perhaps we’ll see veteran Laquon Treadwell elevated again along the outside.
