One of the best in the business, Daniel Jeremiah, released his second 2025 NFL mock draft. So who did he have the Indianapolis Colts taking this time?
In the first edition, the Colts tackled a big need by addressing the cornerback position with Texas’ Jahdae Barron.
This time, however, Jeremiah has the Colts going a different direction and taking Missouri offensive lineman Armand Membou.
And for those wondering, tight end Tyler Warren went No. 7 to the New York Jets.
This isn’t the first mock draft where we’ve seen Membou land with the Colts. He played right tackle at Missouri, but could play right guard for the Colts, as Jeremiah notes.
In his three seasons, Membou surrendered only three sacks. In the last two seasons, which have spanned 849 pass-blocking snaps, according to PFF, Membou allowed just 23 total pressures.
In 2024, Membou ranked 11th in pass-blocking efficiency and he ranked fourth in run-blocking grade.
The need for the Colts along the offensive line is all dependent upon what happens with free agent Will Fries.
If Fries returns, depth is still a need with Ryan Kelly, Mark Glowinski, and Danny Pinter all free agents as well, along with Braden Smith being a potential cut candidate.
But in this scenario, the Colts still likely have all five of their starters on the roster, so addressing it in Round 1 may not be a huge need.
On the flip side, however, if Fries ends up elsewhere, and he could be in store for a big pay day, offensive line becomes a major need. The only other right guard options on the roster at the moment are Dalton Tucker, Josh Sills, and Atonio Mafi.
While at the moment, offensive line in these mock drafts may not be a popular pick, that could ramp up depending on how free agency unfolds.
