INDIANAPOLIS – Braden Smith’s status has been settled for the remainder of the regular season.
The Indianapolis Colts’ veteran right tackle has been placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list, which means he’ll miss at least the final four games of the season.
Smith, a 92-game starter since being selected in the second round of the 2018 draft, has been dealing with a personal issue for the past few weeks. He missed the week 13 win at New England.
Along with removing Smith from the active roster, the Colts elevated guard Mark Glowinski from the practice squad for Sunday’s game at Denver. Glowinski started at right guard against the Patriots.
The Colts did not add center Ryan Kelly (knee) and rookie linebacker Jaylon Carlise (fibula, shoulder) to the active roster from injured reserve. Each practiced this week.
Kelly’s situation means rookie Tanor Bortolini will start at center against the Broncos. He missed the New England game with a concussion but cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Defensive lineman Tyquan was added to the injury report Saturday with a rib injury and is questionable for Sunday.
