Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has been doing a ton of heavy lifting for them in today’s game against the Houston Texans. But he’s paid for it with some wear and tear.
During the fourth quarter with the game tied 17-17, Taylor was seen going to the locker room. As ESPN Colts insider Stephen Holder soon revealed, it was a heel injury and he is now questionable to return to the game.
“Jonathan Taylor is dealing with a heel injury, per the Colts. His status is questionable. Never a dull moment,” Holder wrote.
Taylor has been dominant for the Colts today, getting 21 carries for 165 yards and a touchdown in this must-win game. He also has two receptions for eight yards.

The passing game just hasn’t been there for the Colts today. Through the first three quarters, quarterback Gardner Minshew II is just 11 of 21 for 109 yards.
If Taylor doesn’t finish the game he will finish the season with just over 700 rushing yards and around 850 yards from scrimmage on the season.
Hopefully it’s not serious. If the Colts go on to win this game they’ll need him in a big way for the playoffs.
