The Horseshoe Faithful have spoken ahead of Week 12’s home matchup against the Detroit Lions!
The Indianapolis Colts (5-6) host the NFC leading Detroit Lions (9-1), coming off a big road win against the New York Jets last week.
Reinstated 2nd-year starting quarterback Anthony Richardson had a really strong performance last weekend, scoring three touchdowns, with some clutch play late in the game during the 4th quarter to secure the Indianapolis victory.
In a winning effort, 55% of Colts fans felt that Richardson had a ‘good’ performance.
Specifically, he completed 20 of 30 pass attempts for 272 total rushing yards, a pass touchdown, and no interceptions, while he also rushed for 32 rushing yards on 10 carries and amassed two rushing touchdowns:
This week, Colts fans are riding the tide of that momentum a bit, as the Horseshoe faithful’s confidence in the franchise increased from 37% to 56% regarding the direction of the franchise going forward:
It makes some sense too. The franchise’s long-term success is clearly tied to the success of Anthony Richardson bigger picture, and he really showed out last weekend during the win.
That being said, it’s important that he build off last Sunday’s strong showing, and he’ll face a Lions defense allowing the 5th fewest points per game (17.7 avg. ppg.)—but the 6th most passing yards (232.7 passing yards per game). It’s all about consistency now week-to-week.
The Colts always seem to have one big upset road win per season at home. Will this Sunday be it? If you’re asking the Horseshoe faithful, only 23% of Indy fans think they’ll beat Detroit.
