The Horseshoe has spoken! Here are this week’s survey results!
The Indianapolis Colts (3-3) are hosting an old AFC East rival, the Miami Dolphins (2-3), who look different as they’ll be without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) again.
After returning to .500 football again, after beating an AFC South rival on the road last weekend, 52% of Colts fans believe that the franchise is headed in the right direction—which doubled last week’s confidence rate of 26%:
Winning a home matchup against a depleted Dolphins team would go a long way toward the team’s hopes of eventually making the playoffs—especially with a grueling stretch of games coming up following this Miami game.
Perhaps because they’re faced with that upcoming gauntlet of opponents, only 38% of Colts fans believe that the team will make the postseason when it’s all said and done—despite Indianapolis holding onto the AFC’s final wild card spot right now:
While Colts star workhorse running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) has already been ruled out, Indianapolis 2nd-year starting quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) will return—after missing consecutive starts because of injury.
It’ll be interesting to see whether he’ll have either Josh Downs (toe) or Michael Pittman Jr. (back)—both of whom practiced on at least a somewhat limited basis this week and are currently listed as “questionable” on the team’s injury report.
With all that being said, 80% of Colts fans believe that the team will take care of business at home against the Dolphins this weekend—perhaps because they’ll be inspired by the franchise Ring of Honor induction of tight end team great Dallas Clark:
