Indianapolis Colts tight end Drew Ogletree was arrested on Friday by police on alleged domestic violence charges.
Per ESPN’s Stephen Holder, Ogletree was charged with two level-six felonies. The first one is domestic violence committed in the company of a child that’s 16 or younger and the second one is domestic battery that results in moderate injuries to the body.
“We are aware of the disturbing allegations involving Drew Ogletree. The team takes these matters seriously. We have notified the NFL and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time,” the Colts said in a statement.
Ogletree was allegedly arguing with a woman before he body-slammed her. She eventually had to go to the hospital to be treated.
Ogletree had not been released from jail as of late Friday night.
He’s a former sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and has appeared in 12 games this season, compiling nine receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
This is a developing story.
